Alexandru Mavrodineanu's short film was presented in the International competition section for fiction films at Mumbai International Film Festival in India.

The jury found that  "This is a warm hearted Film that creates a big cinema feel in its short 14 minutes life. It does everything so well-script, cinematography, acting, Music" when deciding to honor Music in the Blood with the Golden Conch award.
